    Hi TC,
I am building a "how I did it" monograph in Microsoft Word to post on the list when it's done.
I'd thought the appropriate place for it would be in the Modifications/Other forum.
But there's no way that I can find to post anything on those forums.
    Guidance, please?

go nick the Panther rig out of the Reynolds Museum, eh?
I haven't been there in so long, I don't even know if it is on display or if they have moved it to storage. Heck, I'm pretty sure they rotate "inventory".

And yeah, A sidecar is a great chick magnet.
I'm not sure the missus would like that, but it sure would be easier to take her along with on rides. Can't trust her on the back with only 2 wheels, she falls asleep to easily. But toss her in a side car, might work out.

Might be best to e-mail the document to an admin/mod so they can upload the pictures and cut and paste the text as needed to build a suitable post. We little people can't post in that section anyway.

          Hi Kevin,
um, your missus IS a chick, right?
My wife refuses to ride pillion, saying if she wanted to sit like that she'd go see her gynecologist.
But she happily sits in the sidecar playing Elvis on her discman.
But it's more accurate to say that a sidecar acts as a social lubricant. The scruffy leather-clad biker that folks used to avoid when parking his solo bike will have those same folks coming up to his sidecar rig and starting conversations.

            Hi 'Bug,
Sasktel's otherwise excellent e-mail service has an extremely small capacity for sending photographs so that won't work for me.
Unless I get a different feedback I will bypass Sasktel and dump the thing right here. Doubtless the moderators can move it to an appropriate forum.

I suspect that is the route that most of the existing posts took in getting there.

Hey Fred: I think your sidecar looks cool. Your right about the interest. I'd walk any distance to take alook at one. Very rare. I followed a group last year on my way to work - they were all vintage bikes and the last guy that i got behind of was a sidecar - smaller bike than yours - it was grayish and had a spoked wheel - extra tire mounted flat on the back of the sidecar. I had my 84 xs650 so i fit right in - It was cool following that rig. It was the only one I have ever seen. When I turned off the dude gave me a big wave - old bikes stick together. Thx again for the pics - Dan

                  Hi Dan,
coulda been a BMW rig or one of the more obscure grey-market Asian imports but most likely a Ural rig like these:-

                    Hi Fred,

I guess I should have worded that to say that she may not appreciate any additional attention. She has said that she would ride pillion, but only for a short ride around town. Nothing worth getting her on for.

Fred Thanks for the link to Ural...wow those are way cool...especially the ones with dual drive wheel on the sidecar...that indeed would handle alot of inclement weather conditions...I never really knew anything about Ural...andcertainly was not aware that they are building current models...I thought they were all old bikes from Eastern Europe left over from the cold war days..so thats a big eye opener for me...Did I say COOL?

                          Hi tarzan,
I think you will find you can only buy the whole combo they do not offer the bike on it's own although you can have single drive wheel or the driven sidecar wheel. Brembo disc brake on the front about the only modern thing on the whole bike.
