Any 7/8" bars will work. You just have to be aware of any change in distance for the cables. I've never done it myself, but looking at the pieces involved, if all the old cables can still be used, you're probably looking at a 20 minute process. Maybe less...1980 XS850SG - Sold

I did it on Rhona, much to my wrists' relief. Cables fit okay, but had to get a longer brake line. I think I used '79 Wing bars. Really doesn't take long at all. As to tips, don't forget that the elec connection to the master cyl. has a little tab underneath to push up on as you pull the connection out.Last edited by Erik the Red; 09-24-2009, 07:39 AM.-Do what makes you happy.
