            Moto Retro says thanks!

Thanks, guys! Y'all made my evening.

Really appreciate the kind words and support for Moto Retro (and Motorcyclist Retro, which I concieved and edited last year). Not sure if all the action in the last few days is from this site, but we've seen a serious jump in subscriber action... so thanks to all of you! Honestly, the word-of-mouth/forum stuff helps SO much, helps folks hear about what we're doing.

I'll be in touch about the Eleven story.

            Regards,

            Mitch

Mitch it is a humbling experience to have you amongst us ...and you are most welcome to CH11! I have read many articles from you in the past as well...and enjoyed them. The XS and XJ1100 story is quite compelling...and as has been mentioned by others..its not only about the bike but of those who have given their time and expertise to help their fellow XSive brothers and sisters... I know I speak for all of us when I say that I owe so much to this site and the wonderful people that have helped me maintain a working 27 year old machine. We welcome you and wish you well in your endeavors in the publication biz...like the XSand XJ 11s' we are survivors.

That Magazine looks amazing! I saw a issue with a YZ250 on the front just like I used to ride as a kid, it gave me flashbacks! I spent hours and hours on some of those old bikes. Ah nostalgia.

                    Looks cool buuuuut

Is a bit pricey. I'm kind of poor right now. My $40 would be better spent on bike parts. I might spring for the issue with the XS11 though.
79 XS1100 SF - name TBD - possibly "Divorce Maker" Kerker 4 into 1, K&N filter in stock air box
79 XS1100 SF - parts (for now) - "Divorce Maker II"
79 XS1100 SF "The one that got away" sold in 1993.

If you're flat busted, maybe you can do like we do at my shop, and share the love. By the time every biker gets done reading every magazine, no one remembers who it belongs to and everyone has a bunch to gab about.

Ya know Ivan, I know you have me figured as some kind of liberal no brain bastered. This is really not the case. I wish you well and I mean this sincertelly! I am a big fan of old bikes - I hurt when I see Yamaha and others spending there time with HD look alikes when we know they can do better. I love to read about our bikes and wish the powers that be would pay attention. How great it would be for yamiha to pick up from our bikes and make somthing relivent to today! Ya got to be tired of the HD wanabee's in their linup!

If they are going to continue publishing digitally you can buy the "electronic" version for less then the paper version, you just have to read it on the computer. I do it that way so I can sneak it at work but its also a bit cheaper. I use Zino.
                            1979 xs1100 Special -
Stock air box/K&N Filter, MAC 4-2 exhaust, Bad-Boy Air horn, TC fuse box, Windshield, Soft bags, Vetter Fairing, Blinkers->Run/Turn/Brake Lights, Headlight Modulator, hard wire GPS power

Well, I really hadn't had you pegged as anything TBH. I am a big fan of the muscle bikes too, and about the only new bike that really appeals to me is the V Max. I was just suggesting that sharing the magazines with your buds helps in the pocket book. In essence I have about 7 different subscriptions, bout only pay for one, since we all share around the shop. I guarantee the MotoRetro will get shared as well, and loved by all.

So, I am not sure how I offended you...???? But i extend my apologies.
