  • Am I a dog??

One of the things I'm starting to enjoy more and more about riding is experiencing the kaleidoscope of aromas you smell while out and about.
Of course, at 80mph you can only smell the heaviest ones, but while cruising around town I experience a whole variety of aromas......from back yard BBQs to night blooming jasmins....
Mind you, I'm a smoker so it's not like I have the sharpest sense of smell...
    Am I alone at this?

I guess you're ok, as long as you don't go around sniffing butts 'cause that might get you arrested.

I love cruising by the "Rose Garden" while the roses are in bloom

For those not familiar, the Rose Garden is a local park that has tons of heritage rose bushes.

Yeah, those BBQs really get my attention! Other than that, it's usually the nearest restaurant, or mowed grass that I smell.

API (Palm Beach, FL) A man from FL was killed to day in a freakish traffic accident this afternoon. The man simply known as "Cobia" by many used to ride a classic Japaneese motorcycle, which supposedly led to the tragedy. It seems he had grown accustomed to chasing cars passing by, and had become so wrapped up in the sport he accidentally chased down a parked Buick near by. Witnesses say he was okay, but shook up. The tragedy came in the form of a semi truck as he sat in an intersection licking himself and chewing on a milkbone.

                    Ivan.... easy on the meds.
Funny how "REGIONAL" these olfactory experiences are.
                    Silent... you got it right.
Don't forget the smell of perfume from the hot female next to you at a traffic light.
                    OK, OK, I'll move on...
                    And no I won't go sniffing where I shouldn't...lol..

Freshly killed skunk..one that got off a shot... (when he got hit by a car which is 4 cars ahead of you, in a place you can't pass for miles)...bad enough in a cage...eye watering on a bike.

If you were to run over and get on your back and wallow all over in that possum... then yeah, you just may be a dog! lol.

What in the WORLD makes them do stuff like that??

                            "Hey Ralph, you smell that?"

FWIW, I am actually having a hell of a time getting over the pain meds. I ran out and the family doc seems to think that I don't need any more. I am stuck with the non narcotics. The doctor said that detoxing will bring on phantom pains that hurt just as bad as the ones the pills were helping.

Thats probably why my ill fated attempt at making a joke didn't come across as well as I wanted it to.
