    Sheesh....

I would email this guy and tell him that he was supposed to change the oil while in "Driving Conditions", not "Idle Conditions". But I'm really afraid that would end in an obituary. No one wants that....

You know, you're supposed to change the oil in those things (and lawnmowers) at least once a year!

You are? Oh man am I in trouble. You think 10 years is too long between oil changes? I mean it still runs (sort of)

Oh, I can't find where to change the oil in my electric one, does that need changed?

Well, I guage it by the fact that I grew up using the same lawnmower that my dad grew up using. He did annual oil changes on it, and I even remember him swapping out the carb on it once, and mounting the old carb to the back of my Big Wheel as an "engine" . As long as they're maintained, there isn't much in them that can die.

I just got a free mower from one of my neighbors a few weeks ago. It was no more than one season old, but they said it wouldn't run. The oil was gray, so I magine it was mis-treated over the winter. My son and I fixed it with $30 in parts (needed a piston/rings and a head gasket). Runs great now!
