  • a joke?

I wonder if this is a joke...
    http://annarbor.craigslist.org/mcy/1232910737.html

I decided to sell off my SUZUKI GS500E which I bought recently for a heavy (1500) price. My loss is your gain. Price has been reduced because the engine is kind of seized. Was trying to do an oil change and while the oil was being drained the engine was on in Idle condition and it got stuck... To get it released from tat position is just a 20 min job for a mechanic but I am moving for a Ninja 600 so not interested in this bike anymore.
The engine seized in while idling and not while riding so it may not be a big effort to get it undone.
I paid a lot for the bike since it has just 5400 miles so no low ball offers

    Carbs rebuilt recently
    Everything works in the bike
    Original title in my name
    Will sell it as is
    Cash only... No trades....

PS: If the posting is still there the bike is still there... Willing to throw in a riding helmet and leather gloves since they dont fit me well...

Ask for pics or wait till I upload them soon

sooooo he was trying to change the oil with the bike running?!?!? ...

      Nice,

I bet the gloves and helmet are kind of too small, or kind of too large. And I would like to meet the mechanic tat can unseize an engine in 20 minutes.

Next thing you hear when you call him is he could not get it to quit running because he fed it energy drink!

              No problem Gareth,
I have done it myself. My little BSA developed a nasty oil leak a long way from home. Stopped at a gas station every half-hour to buy another quart of oil to top up the oil tank. I guess the final leg was 7 miles too far. Simple bore seizure that freed itself in less than 20 minutes as the engine cooled down. By which time some real Samaritans had loaded the bike in their pickup truck to run it and me home. Admittedly the top-end teardown to free up the stuck rings took a bit longer.

I cringe at the thought of what he will do to a Ninja 600.

My whipper snipper seized while running a little while ago,
I drained a tea spoon of black goey oil out of the engine,
replaced it with fresh oil, removed the zip cord and with a t'bar and socket
was able to gradually rock the engine loose, after a bit the engine turned
over smoothly enough to start, its blowing a bit more smoke but its running good enough. but thats a whipper snipper not a motorcycle engine.
