If the fault lies with the Contractor, I'd say he's responsible for replacing the system at his own cost. If fault lies in the design of it, the Engineer is at fault. Either way, I don't see how you'd be forced to soak up the expense when you were up front and vocal about the constraints surrounding the situation. Start calling people, and start ruffling feathers!

Well, Two weeks almost and still no sign of the sewer guys, even after calling several times.

Now, today, I get the news that there are complications resulting from my wife's surgery, and that she will have to spend the rest of her life on medication, her lymphatic system is shutting down.

I am about ready to give up.

Woww.....Never rains but pours seems like an understatment. VERY sorry to hear about your wifes issues Ivan! Not very medically informed, but I do have a wife with a hypoactive thyroid, she is on meds for life for that.

Hope it all works out for her, and the sewer issue, will work out in time. You can only eat the elephant one bite at a time no matter how big it is!

I did a search thru your last few threads but I can't find anything about your wife's procedure?? Many times when women have radical mastectomies, they remove many of the lymph glands and such around the breast area, and this can cause lympedema in the related arm, and they have to wear these special compression stocking/sleeves to help compress the tissues to prevent swelling and to keep the lymph fluid flowing so it will get back into the venous system.

Sorry to hear that she has had complication in whatever procedure she had! Just have to say though that medicine for life may still be a better alternative than no life!?

She had a hysterectomy and lots of scar tissue removed from a ham handed c-section done years before.

The treatment you are talking about is pretty much what the doctor said she has to look forward to. The surgery was supposed to make her feel BETTER not worse.

And here was I, whining about bad roads and a ride going a tiny bit sour. I can only tell ya one thing, I have been there and got the tee shirt for it. Hang in there.
One other thing, I don't know about KS but up here if you have a problem with an installed septic system one call to the county zoning commisioner will result in the contractor getting an immediate nasty gram and he WILL show up RIGHT away as the zoning people WILL be there waiting for him!!!! All septic systems here have to be installed according to a plan submitted to the state and approved by them. If there is any variation from that plan the contractor will be up to his ears in heavy elephant doo-doo!!!!!!

Hey Ivan I'm sorry to hear about your wife having problems.Familly health definitely trumps all other problems.I hope things get better.

Have you call the City planning department to investigate?I had an issue with a contractor a few years back, and 10 minutes after I talked to the investigator,the contractor got right back to me and made arrangements to fix the problem.And he came out the same day.
