  • 1994 Honda accord high idle when in park

Hi again guys! Last year i had to replace my break master cylinder. Now it is showing one of the same symptoms. Breaking is still good, but it will idle from 1.5k in gear,it will jump to 2.5k if i put it in park. When i step on the breaks while it is in park the idle will climb a few hundred rpms and go back down slowly once i release the break pedal. What the hell is going on with my car??

1994 honda accord with around 193k miles on it.

Sounds like it might be a vac. leak. There's a hose that goes from intake vac. to your power brake booster. Check that line for leaks first. It could also be the one way check valve or the booster itself. Could also try resetting the computer by disconnecting the battery for a minute or two. HTH

Sounds like a possible leaking boost unit.
