I agree...Next Generation didn't try and copy the original "verbatim" but was a progression from the original and I got to know and love the characters over time, just like the original. There are a lot of moments in both series that are favorites of mine and could never be compared one to the other. Just like the charaters from the original can't really be compared with Next Generation series. They are separate entities with due respect to both series. Star Trek will always live on in one form or another and not always to everyone's liking. I will sit and watch episodes from the other series as well but the characters from the original and Next Generation will always hold a certain fondness for me, like they are family.

No! They make nice coasters for the cup holder in my computer.

I'm glad people are enjoying the movie. Bully! Bully, I say!

Personally, I've been patronized, then told to shut up and go away until they want my veiwership or my money and my body in a seat again, too many times to give them one copper-clad cent. It's not just the movie ticket: no twenty dollar drink and popcorn from the pimplefaced kids at the concession stand; no after-movie dinner at Denny's; no tie-in merchandise; nothing.

Some day, the bargain bin for a dollar. Maybe.

          Regards,

          Scott

You need to incorporate the warp drive into the XS1100.

I dunno... The price of dylithium crystals has gone through the roof these days, so it may just be a lot of work for nothing!

I've always wanted to learn to speak Klingon. When I was in High School, one of the other Drama geeks had the tapes, and was teaching himself. Can you imagine seeing that on someone's resume?!

There is a Klingon->english dictionary available. I would guess one could learn to speak it from that (I do find it interesting that they actually went to the work of creating the language just to make it more authentic and believable).

No kidding! The whole show is that way though. J.R. made sure to make everything as "possible" as he could. The one thing I did learn about Klingon is that the main initial greeting, like we say, "hello", is actually just like saying, "What do you want?!"
