Just picked up a xs11 and we are really excited to get her rolling.Got a really dirty fuel tank to take care of and we should be hitting the open roads.
Welcome to the forum! Glad you were able to find this place early, before stuff started getting frustrating. If you don't have a manual yet, you can download both of them from my website (in the link in my signature). Feel free to ask any questions you might have, and be sure to post pictures to let us see your progress! Be sure to clean out the carbs really good before you "hit the open road". The dirty fuel tank probably made the carbs really dirty too. They get a little mad if dirt gets in them.

Mighty Eleven - Welcome! There's a post in tech tips you may want to check - What to look for on a neglected xs/xj 1100. Doesn't sound like yours has been neglected, but it gives you a lot of good stuff that should probably be checked anyway.

Welcome to the board. Just take it easy down there in South Florida. I live in the Upper Keys 16 yrs, WPB a year and Clearwater area for four years. All those drunk tourists scared the crap out of me, especially in the Keys.
Enjoy your bike and all the great views down that way.
