  • Just listed my prize xs11 Ole Betty, Bambalam

I listed my prize xs11 Special SF on Ebay today. It's the nicest xs I've ever seen. Check it out. The pics really don't do it justice. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem= Bidders welcome. I would never have thought about selling it, but I need the cash and it's worth more than my others & I can't keep them all leagal anyway. It sure would be nice if you could have one plate and one insurance card and switch it between bikes. You can only drive one at a time!~
I'd like to see somebody get it that will treat it nice. Selling this hurts.
My wife always said "there is only one other thing I've ever seen you give so much special care and attention to" and she keeps that under lock and key.

It really is a great bike, but when it came down to selling it or the copper chopper it had to be the one. I spent a year messin around with the chopper, ordering parts, thinking and building, painting, chopping, polishing. It's really a part of me. That and nobody would give me what I have into the chop.
Black Betty is on fresh piece. I'm sure the buyer will love it & I'll be cry'n on the curb.

That's a nice bike man, I had a red 79 special back in the day that looked that good. Bought it from the original owner in 81 w/ 2000 mi. When I first saw it I knew it had to be mine and kept working the guy till he sold it to me.
I had never ridden a bike over 200 cc before and never on the street(legally...)
I was in love w/ the XS1100 from day one and the feeling hasn't gone away yet.

I'm still bummed about selling it - I had no idea what it was or how to fix the pickup coil wire problem and sold it to some clown for $600 who skipped town without paying me. He was a bad man and I figured it was an expensive lesson learned.

wish I had the $$ for yours.
good luck, I feel your pain brother.

What a saaaweeeet looking bike. I'd jump all over that if I didn't already have my two.

I still don't understand how you are ever going to part with that bobber (the red one in your avatar). I think you mentioned before that you will end up selling that one. You sure make your bikes look new.

The Copper Chopper (bobber) is my one and only ride now, I won't be selling it....until the xs12 is finished.............I've been f*ckin up the paint on the tank for a month now, it should start rolling along when I have a tank on it.

                Garrett...

After looking at your bike pics, I,too am greatly pained that I am not in a position right now to help you out. That is w/o a doubt one of the finest machines I've ever seen. Everybody's dream bike. My '82 XJ1100 is pretty fine, but nowhere near the same league. I, too feel your pain. Can't imagine how difficult this is for you. I hope you get all that this bike is truely worth, and that whoever gets her will also be someone who cares as much and appreciates her the way you obviously did. You've done a great job with her.
                Best of luck.
                Bob

Wow! That is a gorgeous bike! It almost belongs in a museum. Then again, that would prevent it from being ridden, which would just be wrong... I truly hope it goes to a worthy rider who understands and respects the value of that machine. I can only imagine how much it hurts to have to sell it.

The auction just kind of stalled at $1,725. It has had over 1,100 views and holds 109 watchers. Its really amazing ,that many people are looking for an xs11. Hope the auction moves on because we all know that won't do.
Don't you think it's worth $100 to get that many views? That is, if you sell it.
Auctions work for me, because i'll always sell things too cheap when I name the price.

A 30 YEAR OLD BIKE THAT LOOKS LIKE A NEW ONE!
WeeWhoooooooooo! $3550! It went from $2050 to $3550 in the last 6 minutes. I was all ready to hop on and go for a ride. My wife says I shouldn't have taken less than $4,000..... I'm happy, that will pay the house this month and the rest of my realestate taxes. Maybe even give me cash to finish the xs12! Then I guess I can sell the Copper Chopper...Anybody?
