    I've used Avon Venoms... and wasn't very impressed... but it was strictly a street tire and wouldn't be any better on dirt than any other street tire. I'm sure they make other types that they were talking about.

    I went riding with a guy that just put a Marathon tire on his bike. The sidewalls are a bit more aggressive than a regular street tire.. and the people that use them seem to like them. You just can't get the mileage out of them that you can from others.

    But yeah.. there are plenty of tire threads this can be discussed at.. I'd hate to turn this into another one.

        Me, I'd just get on her and go. Like has been said GOOD tires would be a must. That many miles are childs play to a good running XS. I would be some concerned about the gravel as the Dragon does not like gravel all that much but I just recently added and E3 to the front to match the one on the back and although it did not make her into a dirt bike she is a LOT more comfortable off the blacktop now.
