I'm not raggin' on him.. I'm just wondering what it is about this bike that draws him versus the 10 million+ other bikes that basically look just like it?
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder (Or beer holder) and was just wondering.

Try your hardest to be the kind of person your dog thinks you are.
You can live to be 100, as long as you give up everything that would make you want to live to be 100!

Okay Ben, I'm gussing that bike is not available in North America. Do you know anymore about it?
What I know is that Yamaha thinks there isnt sufficient market interest to bring it to N.America...while I believe this bike has been available in Europe and Australia since 2003...It is the more hopped up performance motor to the otherwise identical FJR 1300 motor...but The XJR1300 is a damn pretty bike...a thoroughly updated XS1100 in every respect...I do not have specs on its perfomance. The pic I have is about as close as I'll ever get to owning one...if I ever become rich..I 'll travel to Europe and import my own back to the States.
Well thats damn funny Rick...but since the fate of Max is in Jim's hands I think I'll pass on that referral...LOL BTW JIM...This is the ONLY Shiny Black Bike that would make me weak in the knees and in total want mode... I consider this the next generation XS! The XJR1300 Whoo Hooo!
I have seen the 1300 in France. Looks even better up close in the flesh as it were. Agree it is absolutely the modern version of XS.

You would think a club of Yamaha owners like this could bring some enlightenment to the factory. Big factories are seldom influenced by individuals but maybe a group effort would persuade them to bring in a limited number of units. Kawasaki is bringing back the LTD. Perhaps they would see the possibilities. I would buy one but I wouldn't get rid of my SF & SG .
