Well, now he's in prison, where he belongs
But what gets me? they had been seeing each other for a few years, and were engaged,
HE LEFT HER FOR DEAD, but he loved her?
NOW THERE IS AN IDIOT!
I need to amend that statement....
Dustin, my nephew, told me that they weren't engaged, he was saying that they were, and they'd been seeing each other for about a year.
It was on the news tonight, Jackson, MI FOX 47
He was found guilty....just today,
sentencing in April
His lawyer claimed that he had sustained a head injury, and was confused,
she was still breathing, but unresponsive, when he left the scene

It seems to me that it's mostly SUV's and P/U trucks that appear every day in the accident reports.
I see you don't listen to Rush. there is a media push to make it selfish to put your family in a safe vehicle when eco-friendly people have put thier family in a tin-can. if you listen to the news reports, they say "an SUV went out of control hitting... they never say Mr. jones lost control of his SUV and...
the oversized vehicle is at fault and not the unfortunate victims who happen to be in the SUV when it decided to commit violence.
Before you have a knee jerk reaction to dispute this just because I mentioned Rush, listen to your local news for a week before reacting.
(Don't worry all you members of the socialist party that are now running the show, I stopped listening to politics when you won the last election)
What you are missing though, is the point that SUVs and P/U trucks are not PERFORMANCE vehicles. They are neither designed to go fast or handle well.
They have high center of gravity, stiff suspension and rugged, not refined steering. 4 wheel drive is actually worse on ice, snow or heavily rained on roads, especially at highway speeds.
Yet people drive them like thier old 4 door sedan which was far more stable.
SUV's, P/Us and mini vans are the worst for people driving them like they think they have a Porsche. T
Have to disagree about the four wheel drive baing worse in ice and snow. The main problem that I see with people on ice/snow with four wheel drive is that they can go faster but they don't realize that they can't stop.

when we get snowed in it's the 4 wheel drives with mud tires that feeds my neighbors. we get grocery lists and go have some fun. and we bring a chain to help others. My wife got stranded at work last year and I was the only one on the road when I went to get her. the mud tires held good enough. after pulling doubles on ice for pepsi, a pickup ride is what I call fun. and if I hurt it, that's OK, I have a few more in the back yard ready to play.
my neighbors go into the snowed in woods to cut wood for stoves and there isn't much other than a 4x4 that would go where they go. they went out in my field to blast thru the snow last year and I brought out my lifted mud truck with 36" military tires and I was the only one who could drive around in 2wd. they all had to floor it in 4x4 to dig thru. my beast just drove around like a normal day. I want to see the car your talking about that can beat the winter handling of our old chevy's. I'd like to invite them out next time we play or head for the woods.
4x4 has it's uses. Deep snow, mud, etc, but at lower speeds.
At highway speeds, 4 wheel drive causes the vehicle to handle quite differently than the usual rear or even front wheel drive. Not that it can't be used, but you have to learn how to drive it, just like any other vehicle.
All-wheel drive is a whole different story.
People think that a 4x4 can be driven, on ice just like on dry pavement, and that's not true.
I just find it amusing that, when I buzz around, in the winter, during blizzrds, it's mostly trucks (4x4s0 etc in the ditch.
And don't get me wrong, I am not a fan of front wheel drive. Give me a rear wheel drive, or all wheel drive any day.
SG.......Being that bike is a Busa, best hang on as when they first came out Suzuki garanteed them to the 220mph off the showroom floor, which was the reasoning for there hefty weight and bit longer wheelbase. Had one at our local drag-strip last year when I made a few passes on my Venturer for grins. We are at 5,000ft. elev. and that Busa was turin' 9.40's and 50's at 142+mph!
81H Venturer1100 "The Bentley" (on steroids) 97 Yamaha YZ250(age reducer) 92 Honda ST1100 "Twisty"(touring rocket) Age is relative to the number of seconds counted 'airing' out an 85ft. table-top.
As to the 4X4 issue, I used to have a Tacoma 4X4 with the TRD package. That thing would defy nature at being able to pull its self out of stuff.
Canuk is right that some folks are idiots about how to drive them and as stated before, think they can go normal speeds on snow and ice. The issue there is friction, not even the added weight is gonna help if you ask your tires to apply more friction to the road surface than the surface can offer. And like you yourself said Canuk, anyone who drives any new or diff car or truck has to adjust to how it handles differently and its own quirks. Even of the same year and model they can be different. So once again, it all seems to come back to the human being behind the controls and not the vehicle. Aint Darwinism great? Just sucks they usually take some innocents with them.
