  • coaxial cable

Hello- i was wondering if coaxial cable is cheap to buy?I need like 25 + feet because i live in an apartment and the cable company wants like $52.00 per hour to fix an outlet in my bedroom.I figured because i have a splitter for my cable modem and cable box i could just get a longer cable.I have a 12 foot cable now and it is working but it is going across the room.I need excess cable to go around the wall.

home depot, if you have 12 ft , buy a connecter and maybe 15 ft. i would look inside outlet box first, sometimes they just disconnect spitters.

yes install a new end priece,or pull the old one off, you have to cut back the outer part of the cable, the black not the wire, pull wire back, cut white to get to center wire, need about 3/4 inch

              F connector

They even have the screw on type F connectors. No tools needed, 'cept for a knife. Not as good as the crimp type, but they work fine.

You should be ok like that, but sometimes the computer cable modems will act a bit wonky when they are not fed the proper signal stregnth, DAMHIK.
