Paint Removal

well... a long time ago when people uded to "P" me off ,I would pour a little brake fluid on to their hoods or fenders , on windshields I used WD40
I have become much more mellow in my old age ;-)

You're right, the stuff is nearly miraculous. It works just as well, if not better, on powder coat. They sell the aerosol version at Walmart and Home Depot here in Baja Canada.

I haven't found anything unusual under the paint yet but how would i know.... This stuff strips paint almost as fast as you can brush it on. I have not seen it in a spray can in my neck of the woods yet but if it works as good as the brush on stuff it's worth every penny. a quick wash down is all my frame needs now :-) LOOK OUT ... the hop up bike will soon be back in the works :-)

Hey Rob,

I used the aircraft spray on stuff I got at the paint store, and was very pleased how well it worked. I found many rust spiders under the OEM tank paint that I would not have suspected or found if I hadn't taken it down to bare metal!

I am striping the paint off my hop up bike frame today so the welding can be completed sooner rather then later. I strongly recommend that if you have a paint removal job to do that you skip the hardware store paint removers and go with aircraft coating remover. Check out the photos. That's how it looks at 10 minutes after application and only used 2 cups of the stuff.
