In MA I will ride until the first snow or until they start throwing sand on the roads. This year it will be soon. Have alot of work to do on my xs.

      Love winter riding

No bugs for one thing...the past few yrs here its been cold but otherwise free of any snow, ice, sand or salt/brine.So I will just layer up and see how cold I can take it...granted I'll be using the bike(s) with the fairings.

Here in Saskatoon we are on borrowed time just awaiting the first snowfall.
My son has given up riding to his 4AM morning shift but still rides to the 10AM afternoon shift if it ain't raining. I usually don't get my arse in gear until noon as far as riding is concerned so the early morning cold & dark is not a problem for me. But very soon there will be permanent snow and that's when I will take the sidecar rig out for a quick just-for-fun slither around the neighborhood before putting it away for the winter. The roads were rideable in mid-April this year although back in 1997 the spring weather was so cold, wet & miserable that I didn't plate the bike until June 2nd. Hopefully next spring will be better that that.

          Here in South America

Thats Louisiana, Ya'll. I ride year around though not as much in winter so I dont really winterize. What I do is keep my bike on a battery tender and start it up at least once a week on the center stand so I can let the motor run and rear wheel turn to keep lubrication up.

Went for a nice ride on Sunday but last night it snowed. I just leave the old gal in the garage and if it turns nice I'll take her out. They are calling for nice weather this weekend again and with this global warming thing who knows what the winter will bring. (As long as the roads are fairly clean and the oil will still flow)

Seeing as I can't get insurance for 6 months anymore, I figure I might as well get as much in as I can.

So sorry for you Northerners!! LOL.

Sucks for some of you. I catch myself wondering what the hell????,, and then I remember that so many of you live in places like NH, MI, WA, etc.. While it gets a little uncomfortable down here in south Louisiana at 40* with 80% humidity in January, the next day could be 65* and dry so to save up a bike down here just doesn't happen. Although I must admit, you snow birds do have it a lot better during the summer months that we do. 98* w/ 100% humidity it's often plain misserable for months at a time. LOL..

As long as the sun is shining and the roads are clear, I don't care how cold it gets. You'll see me out there...

If I can get my front wheel back on in-between business trips yet, I'll try to ride a little longer. OTOH, I haven't been on my bike for a couple of months already....

I really don't want to ride when we have salt on the roads, that will be the end of my season for sure.

47 degrees here right now. Just got back from a nice ride with my brother out to St. Charles, Chesaning, Owasso, Birch Run and back. I love this cold weather riding and all the colors around here right now. The full face helmet sure makes a difference. I just gotta remember to take my ipod next time out...

Put it away? Like in a nursing home? If I can get it out the driveway it is on the road, maybe a short ride but on the road.

I'm done with my 11 and hoping I will get at least one more nice day to wash her down and do the storage prep.

                              Bed Time

We had our first snow Sunday and the roads were ice on the way to work yesterday. Cages in the ditch. I put the Timemachine to bed on Saturday.
