1980 XS. 9 digit serial number on the Title matches whats on the frame neck. Titled in Idaho and insured thru State Farm no problems.

I think Brian nailed it. Before 1981, they were all listed with only a Serial number, but after that, they started to come with the 17-digit VIN as well. Mine just happens to have both, and I was a bit confused as to which one should show on the title.
