I live in Crockett, work in Huntsville and have family in Houston and Orange. Crockett is back up and running. No damage to my house but the Tree trucks are going to be busy for a while clearing the roads of all the downed trees. Huntsville is still down about 80% on the grid. Hardly any residences have power. Of course the Walmart was one of the first things back up and running. My family in Houston got power back yesterday around 5. They're up by 290 and Huffmeister. My dad's side of the family all live in Orange and their houses came out ok but they aren't near any flood zones. Most of the actual town was under 3-8 ft of water. Lots of rescuing going on because people didn't leave like they should have. Everyone underestimated the size of Ike. Down in Orange one of the results of the flooding is a lot of the cemetary's are losing their "permanent residents" and someone's job is going to be putting them back in their homes. Glad I don't have to deal with that. No power for a long time for my Dad's side.
