I didnt really document this but my front fender had some rust underneath, also in the space where the mounting brackets meet the fender up in that crack, a line of rust.. so I scrubbed em up with a wirebrush best as I could, Wiped em with carb cleaner to remove some old tar then etched em a little with some leftover por-15 metal ready from my gas tank kit.. Then I masked off the top of the fender and the outer portions of the brackets and sprayed what was left with 3m (now loctite) extend rust converter stuff. Then when it was all turned black and cured I hit her with the old motorcrosser savior. Yep you guessed it.. (not duct tape). Silver spray paint.. Always good for rusty washers or little brackets that were never meant for polishing ect..

So now ya dont see the 1/4 inch line of rust up in between the bracket and fender.. just a slightly textured silver.

Anyway was part of the project.
