Later on I want a brand new bike. It'll be a V Star. Harley looking bikes with a big Ars Vtwin, and reliable and smooth as a balanced Japanese motor.
Then this one will get hopped up for drag.
No matter how you slice it, its a nice job. VStars are nice, I find them to be a tad wide in the tank for my taste. But i love the relaxed seating. Maybe thats what ill go for with mine...a vstar look...heh heh heh...lemme go get a pen and calculator...

No, can't say that it does. However, it does look like it's missing something..... like maybe... training wheels

Nice job, Dave. Well balanced look with well proportioned and integrated lines, particularly with the pipes.
Well stated and, nicely executed !

And where do you get those bullet blinkers? What year is that rear fender off of?

The rear shocks are adjustable Showa shocks, not sure of model. Previous owner did most of the mods.
The rear fender is the original chrome fender and it has cheap led blinkers.

Here is the link to my blinkers. The price has gone up from 7 to 10 bucks each since I ordered mine. The site has hundreds to chose from.

I have no idea what year my tail came from.

edit: And my shocks are Showa preload air adjust, and 4 way damper adjust.

Love it, glad to see xs's being updated. Now if Yamaha would do anything for us we may be able to buy a "new " bike some day. Have you had a look at the new Honda cb1100f proto, it looks like Honda is getting on board.

I don't like it. I don't like the collector and pipe on the 4-1 exhaust. Needs a mono shock. The lines just don't have much appeal. And they stole a Yamaha tank and put on it.

Bike looks good. I really like the exhaust- been wondering how hard it would be to run the outer two cyllinders to one pipe, and the inner two to another pipe on the same side... But yours looks great. How's it sound? The seat looks good. I'm not too fond of the sportster rear fenders- kinda makes the bike look a little to short, but what floats your boat is what matters... lol.

                                Good job.
