I bought my seat directly form Daimond and it doesnt have a name on it, yes, my sissy pad has a pouch on the back, when I had it recovered I sent the board to Diamond and had them re-pad and recover it, but the pouch was in good condition so all I had to do was reattach it to the back when it was returned to me.

      Hi Carolyn,
with care seat covers can be removed & replaced so you could swap the good '79 cover onto the torn '80 seat. That way the ~$100 cost of a saddleskin could be diverted into something else. With the cover & foam removed you can see all the nasty rust patches on the pan and repaint them. When I trimmed 5/8" off the nose of my '80 Special seat so it'd go back on with the new Standard tank on the bike, that task involved R&Ring the cover & foam so I could doctor the pan. Although the pan was in great shape on the outside, it was well rusted under the foam and the cover & foam removal allowed me to de-rust & re-paint. With the pans uncovered there is also an opportunity to have a TCI pocket cut'n'welded into the '79 pan for diversity's sake.
