  • How Low Can You Go??

So I try to pretty things up a bit on the bike and put stainless screws on the covers and such... even replace the old rusty screws on the heat shields with some stainless allen screws.

I'm headed home the other day and I came into a sweeping curve too hot, (For those of you that know me... just TRY to act somewhat surprised) and I went way beyond normal boot dragging lean... even got that pesky footpeg scraping and bent up out of the way... to where I started dragging... you guessed it. That nice new shiney stainless allen bolt on the heat shield!

Oh well... I guess at least it saved the heat shield?? lol.

Holy crap that is a long ways over for one of these old girls. You got a fork brace?

No, no fork brace... but I'd like to get one. When you run it really hard in the curves, it feels like there's a hinge in the middle a bit when the forks flex.
But it is still rideable the way it is. I keep hoping that all the parts I give away... someone may have one to trade?? lol

Yep they flex pretty good if you are laid over and the road is rough. That is why I thought maybe you had one. Following you at night would be quite a light show

                LOL...

I try not to get down far enough to scrape pegs... especially after I saw how much they are to replace them! I normally put my boot about halfway on and halfway off the peg in a turn and go until I start rubbing my boot on the ground... but sometimes things don't go as planned...

This is from a pic I took at the Bob Jones memorial ride... I made a poster of it. It was one of those boot dragging turns with the one hand on the throttle and the other with the camera stuck out over windshield that happened to turn out good.

It's a good motto anyway! lol.

That's my favorite pic! I love that shot!

I'm not supposed to be on the internet at work(yeah, right)but I even showed it to my boss. He thought it was cool too.

It SHOULD be made into a poster!

I have a plotter at work that is basically a 3 foot wide color printer, so my office has several 3'x4' posters of different shots I liked over the years.... this one is the latest edition. Thanks for the comments. Take 2-300 pics and your bound to get one or two good ones! lol.
