Hi everyone!
You may recognize me from my joke contributions or maybe not!
I just completed the MSF riders course on the 18th and got my motorcycle endorsement!!
Okay, my 'coach' wasn't the most informative or entertaining person to teach 6 new riders and I feel like I've missed out on some things - like parking, sand/debris manuevering but hey, that's what Gnepig is for!! Luv ya honey!
I haven't ridden on the roadways just yet but we did go last night (and probably tonight) to the parking lot of the mall where the riders course has space all marked off for the weekends and rode around for quite a while.
Florida drivers are nuts (as I'm sure they are anywhere else) but when you live in God's waiting room you take your chances just by driving anything, anywhere. Too many people don't see you or worse, aim right for you. It's like target practice to them.
I'm not certain if I will want to ride on a regular basis or go back to being the backseat accessory but I want to try it. The other part that made me really want to consider it is the fact I just spent $50.00 to fill up my gas tank....on a 4 cylinder car. Figured I could handle spending $8-$12 to fill up a bike easier than the car thing. I only work less than 2 miles from home (if it weren't for the bad neighborhood I would have to pass thru, I would bicycle).
I just thought I would say Hey and let you know there is another motorcycle driver in your midst!
Anyone have any sage words of advice to share???
