Mine had 24k when I got it 2.5 years ago, now it's at 46k, so I guess it's almost mine!

At 54601 I took off the factory speedometer and insalled a 160MPH unit. I have put a few thousand on since swapping speedometers. It is nice to see how fast you are going in 4 and 5 also. When I got the bike the PO had installed a 1980G motor, and I got most of the original engine for parts. The Special still rides good, handles well and is Smooth.
P.S - I just got my V-Max Handlebars today, goodbye to the factory ape hangers.Bill Woods

I have 29,292 miles on my '79sf but I have only ridden it 6.7 miles since I got it running. Not much fun, too cold, but I can see the day coming soon!!!! maybe next week , just maybe!!!Comment

the mongrel has unkown mileage on it, it was apparently a rebuild, after a wreck, and the engine is bad... sitting on the bench.
Rusty now has 31K miles on it, right now the speedo and engine are in the mongrel's frame till i get rusty back to "un tarped mess"... like it sat for 15 years.
hope to put much more on it this year.. doing the pickup wire fix, and finding tires a single dad can afford on his budget.. still saving the coffee money for a new rear ...jeff "Wags"

My 78E had 66966 km when I got it, it has 2,8km more now. I got it in boxes.
Just got new valves today and middle drive oil seal, so Im just waiting for the crank oil seal and neutral switch.
LPIf it doesn't have an engine, it's not a sport, it's only a game.

My '83 XS1100S has 24000 miles on the clock. I bought it in 1994 with 3500 miles. It mostly sits in the garage now apart from the occaisional blast over the channel.

12779 on the ole 1979 XS11 Special..I purchased her last year in `August from original owner..sort of a new bike...He had the original warranty papers from Yamaha etc...only had 9800 miles then...I just got finished sync the carbs and the jet kit for indi filters...so I have an opportunity to put a few more miles Lord willing on the ole girl..I am still waiting on my tkat brace and I will be good to go....
