Hey guys in the Ottawa area and maybe cross Canada ... Princess Auto has their heavy duty 1000 LB motorcycle lifts ON SALE @ $150.00 off. That makes them $349.99 I got me one :-)
Rob
It's very similar to the one you have I think. it is 7 feet long X 26 inches wide, has a front wheel vice and a roll on ramp. A section of the unit is removable for rear wheel removal. It will lift the bike 29 inches on the floor. NO more sitting on the floor or hunching over to work on the engine :-)
I have been waitign and hoping they would go on sale and todays the day.

I don't keep the c-stand on the bike, nor do I use it on the lift. My lift doesn't have a wheel clamp either. It has loops on the base corners for ratchet straps. The straps make it rock solid.
WOW you mean they really intend that you would work on your bike with it secured only in that front wheel clamp??? I was thinking it was in addition to the main stand. I guess i can just remove that part then as I will not need it.
Rob
Well as it turns out if i want to pop my bike onto her main stand on this lift the main stand will be on the removable plate. With the size of the 11 and placement of the main stand just works out that way.
Here's a few pics of the unit with the bike on it.
Yeah it did come with a wheel clamp but it seems redundant if I put the bike on the main stand and tie it down. However I am not sure I will be able to put the bike on the main stand on this lift. When the bike is at the front wheel stop the main stand will come down onto the removable plate. I'm not sure I like that situation. Some welding may be in order. I don't need the removable plate.
It's a good thing I repainted my bike to stock red. It used to be the SAME yellow as the lift. If that had remained the case I could become confused and install turn signals or something on the lift instead of the bike :-)
Rob
I just measured mine and it is 73 in long. If I place the bike as far forward as it will go, then the center stand is just forward of the removable panel.
