He's got the legs for it... from what I'm told. (it's just that damned moustache..!)

Hell, if that's the case we might not be hearing from him for a while! I look forward to the day when the transfer is finally made, for sure.

Whatever it is, I'm sure it will be just as insightful and helpful as the vast majority of the other 5999 have been.

Hi, all. I am having some problems with my '75 XS1000. I recently changed the oil using some old stuff my grandpa had in the barn. I think it was oil for the John Deere. The motor is now making some banging noises. I took it for a ride to see how the new Chen Sing high speed tires worked. I felt a vibration coming thru my new ape hanger handle bars. I noticed it in my mirrors first but it was hard to see real good cause they are above my head now. My grandpa said the noise is worse cause the tall handlebars transmit noise better. He said to put 80lbs in the tires and that should fix it along with an angle iron brace on the forks. My question is, is it ok to weld the angle iron on the forks or should I brace the handlebars. I think maybe my spark plugs are bad because this bike is slower than my 1969 HD Sportster. I am going to run some kerosene with the gas to see if it helps.

There, that should get him started.
