    "It pains me to say..."

...that I won't be riding a Vespa this year.
Meri will be disappointed, as will many other women, but that's just how it goes.
Might I suggest that we all meet up prior at some local food emporium(no, not the Safeway store)... have a quick bite(and some food, too) and then ride to the rallypoint en mass.
That way, we'd all be parked in the same area, and "someone" will not "lose" his bike again in the sea of machines.

Meeting up for Breakfast is a splendid idea.

Have any suggestions (I am sure we are not the first to think of this)?

(I am sure we are not the first to think of this)?
Yeah, I had thought about that.
It should be somewhat close to the rally point, but not too close as to be crowded by other groups of riders.
I can imagine the Denny's and Shari's and such right offa the highway will be packed...
I'll have to think on this a little.

Yeah. MRO... that bothered me a little, too.
what to do... what to do....
Maybe repaint my tank in festive colors?

                Big run.
Everyone meets at the South Sound mall, (Lacey/Olympia) I believe it's formal name is. To me, it's the place where the Sears store sells tools.
An exit right offa the highway, I-5... Forgot the exit number... Sleater-Kinney Road.
You won't be able to miss it... usually 3,000+ bikes in attendance, hence, my reference to someone not being able to re-find his bike last year when it was time to roll out.
I think it's a $10 donation... or have a present strapped to your bike to donate.
                Coffee and food available.
Wear your sunglasses so you can ogle leather-clad women without their boyfriends noticing.
Forgot the name... Motorcycle Drill Team performs....
A lot of porta potty's for reference.
"I parked by the fourth crapper... three rows in.. four bikes back.."
A lot of Harleys show up... as they're always at their dealership getting repairs, and as such, their riders see more of the "event announcement posters" than do normal people who's bikes don't break down.
I think the line up starts around 10.00am.
the big parade starts at 1:00
Cops close all the streets and the procession rides downtown to the Capitol building, circles the parking lot, and then back through Olympia and ends down by the lake.
The actual ride takes about 20/30 minutes... twenty minutes of brake, clutch, brake clutch, brake clutch... as the line snakes and accordians. (boy, that Vespa was nice in that regard!)
Cute little female elves(Are there any other kind?) collect the presents.
People line the route as the riders throw things at them. Usually candy, but I toss old packets of catsup and Arby's Horsey sauce.

                Me at my festive best!

Out of all the photos Meri has of me,(mostly nudes), why she posted this one I'll never know.

                      Prom,
I think if the picture had INCLUDED women, he MAY have. As you said Meri is the Photographer, I can understand the "elves" not being in the background....

Maybe that should have been posted in E. Liberty's "Evolution " thread.
