I'm not sure if that is considered small or not. So here is an idea: format the pic to a size of 8 1/2 x 11, and I can adjust them as needed for the calender. And yes, scantily clad ladies always make a better calender. But no pornographic stuff, as CafePress won't allow that. And remember, all this is somewhat new to me, but I will burn up the phone with tech support until we get it right.

Other Ideas and INFO!
Hey Jim/Jackhammer,
If you have some free time, I bumped the OLD Bike Calender thread for easy location and reviewing, it's about 6 pages long, was some interesting debates/discussions about doing a PRO calender vs. one a person could create at home with a Word Template and such. Just ignore the "Cheesecake photo" IIRC on page 3! I think Max removed the nice one of his SWMBO and his BIKE!
There is also information about both the size of the desired photos as well as their resolution. Not sure how computer savvy you are, but having the photos in as HIGH a resolution as possible provides for better quality prints....at least 300 DPI, and so an 8.5 x 11 photo would need to be 2400 x 3300 pixels at that 300 dpi res to make a decent PRINTABLE non pixellated print!
There were suggestions about putting smaller images of folks bikes on the day spots, like on their birthday, but we soon realized that there were many people with B'days' on the same day, not enough room, and would make it look too busy! So...then we talked about just noting folks B'days by their name/username on the date, but NOW that's it's kinda late in the YEAR, not enough TIME to be able to do that kind of customization!
2008 is the 30th Anniv. of the First XS11's debut, the 78E, and since this was to be the FIRST of hopefully MANY calenders to come, it was also suggested that possibly at least the First photo be of a PRISTINE STOCK 78E. But after that, it was going to be up to E. Liberty to put in a nice assortment of bikes, from STOCKERS, to MODS, but ALL XS11's!
E. Liberty even created/posted an email addy where folks could send those HI-DEF photos to, but alas he only received a few submissions! Yes, the photos in the BIKE PHOTOS thread are great, but they are NOT of a HI res quality that would lend to good quality PRINTS!
Hey Jessie, you created the Flickr photo site, I can't remember whether a person can U/L a HI RES photo that can then be accessed by another person, vs the RESIZED low res photos that would be used for posting in messages here?? IF it will store, and allow retrieval of the HI RES photos, then I think it would be nice if "SOMEONE" created a FLICKR group called XS11 Calender photos, and post the LINK to it in this thread, and see what kind of response WE get!? That way Jim/Jackhammer would be able to access some HI-RES photos to make a good quality calender!

Update about FLICKR!
Well,
I just checked the FAQ's for FLICKR, and the largest sized photos they allow, or resize to is 1024 on the longest side of the picture!
ONLY if a person has a Flickr PRO account can they upload and THEN access their ORIGINAL OVERSIZED PHOTOS!
Free members can only access the resized ones up to the 1024 size!
SO...that kinda puts a damper on the uploading of LARGE PHOTOS for the calender, at least at FLICKR!
Now I know "SOMEONE" who has stated that they have something like 300GB of storage space on a TEST SERVER!
I wonder IF that person could setup a special FTP location and FOLDER for folks to post their HI-RES photos to, for downloading by Jim/JackHammer to put into a calender!?!?
Also, E. Liberty, could you PM me and let me know WHO's photos you had already received!?
BTW, Jim/JackHammer, whoever was to work on this calender, it was hoped that $1.00 from each one would be channeled to the XS11.com website for upkeep, etc.!

OK, here you go.
To upload a file, go here.
Browse for file, click upload...it's about as simple as it gets. There's a 2MB limit on the filesize.
JackHammer, I'll PM you with instructions for getting the files.80 XS1100SG

Jim was kind enough to agree to do 2 calendars for next year... He is more into the mod bikes, so his calendar will reflect the great diversity of these bikes and I will be doing one with mainly stock bikes (with the exception of some paint) and a mod or two that I really like.
I like the ease of the CafePress but am going to check around here for a print shop that might be able to do them for a little less money.... although Cafepress is about as inexpensive as I've seen.81 SH Something Special

nice 78E
If Jim can't find his pristine 78 E pic, I think Rhona would be pretty nice. Only thing is that she's got Jardine 4-1's and Goldwing handlebars. However, she's still all original paint. Let me know if y'all want a nice (but not pristine) pic of a good 78.
BTW, those pics look awesome WK!-Do what makes you happy.

Thanks!
I may not be able to help out with advice on the mechanics of these bikes... but I can help with this...
Here's one more...
Goldberg
By the way... I've already talked with some of the owners about using their bikes... but if I step on any toes... just let me know and I will adjust...
I'll take that pic of Rhona if Jim doesn't need it...81 SH Something Special

ooh! just realized...
I have a set of the stock pipes I could probably throw on for a quick photo op. I'd have to shine 'em up a bit, though. I've got to cut and split wood this week, but I think I'll have time this weekend to do that.-Do what makes you happy.
