  • about that bike calendar...

I'm declaring the XS11 calendar officially off, due in part to a lack of owner participation. Besides that, I really need to concentrate on changing careers and makeing mulah.
There sure are some be-e-utiful bikes on Hobbyman's thread! It would be great to see some of them on a calendar. Oh well.

Old bikers never die, they're just out of sight!

My recently re-built, hopped up '79 Special caught fire and burned everything from the top of the engine up: gas tank, wiring, seat, & melted my windshield all over the front of the bike. Just bought a 1980 Special that has been non oped for 9 years. My Skoot will rise from the ashes and be re named "The Phoenix!"
    I've been riding since 1959.

    Unfortunate...

    but certainly understandable....

I'd be glad to take up to the torch on this one... unless somebody else wants to do it...

It's funny that this post came up today, because I am actually working on a calender for my shop, and to do one for this group would be a relatively simple thing for me to do. And I won't mind doing it. I use CafePress.com for my shop inventory, they ship it straight to the buyer, all no hassle. So anyway, I will be glad to take on this project for the group. Just send me the following:

JPEG's of the bike, with or without owner, maximum of 400x400 pixel sixe.

This calender will be a 12-month calender, at a sale price in the neighborhood of $15, maybe a little less.

Sure lad, (or lass, Wildcat,) go for it. I’m afraid I’ve forgotten half of what I learned about PhotoShop. Loosing my nice digital camera, and not being able to replace it kinda took the wind outa my sails in that regard. If you don’t use it, you truly do loose it.
I hope you are more persuasive in getting owners to contribute photos than I was. Bad timing I guess. I really wanted to do it a couple of months ago, but right around then I had to move unexpectedly. Very disruptive!
I certainly plan on submitting an entry or two if someone else takes this up!

So is the 2008 Calender being taken care of? Hard to tell, from the responses. Someone let me know.

one thing missing with all this conversation, in order to qqualify, the pictures require at least one bikini clad or scantily clad female, unless you don't like girls, and have other tendencies and you know who you are.
