Deep in the bowels of past posts is THIS post about removing tank rust through electrolysis. I wanted to bring it to the front, add a little info, and recommend we add it to the tech tips section.
I am currently doing this on the SWMBO CB500 resto-project and have spent the last two days driving to every grocery story in my and neighboring towns to find Arm and Hammer Washing Soda with no luck. So, I did some research and found that it is also available as PH increaser/soda ash/carbonate soda at pool and hot-tub supply stores.
The 650 site has such a great write-up, I don't see any reason for a new one. I think this would be a good addition to the tech tips.
