you are so a Socialist. Or at least a socialist. So is everybody who relies on the co-operative efforts of others to maintain their lifestyle. The only way to NOT be a socialist is to go live in a cave by yourself and subsist on roots & berries.
To put food on your table, gas in your vehicles, guns & ammo in your armory and so on and so on requires large groups of people getting together and producing all this stuff.
And you do stuff for them in return. The way this interchange is measured is with money, and someone has to print that stuff and ensure that everyone believes in it's worth because the alternative of working out how many potatoes equal a pair of shoes when you need a quart of milk only works in medieval villages.
So yes you are a socialist no matter what you think. You just don't want anyone's spoon in your stew that didn't toss a carrot in first.
Me, I'd allow the spoonful first but if he didn't toss in a carrot later there'd be no second spoonful.

Socialism is the advocation of GOVERNMENT ownership or admisitration of prooduction. Since the government can produce NOTHING then it has to seize it from the private sector.

You are pulling the typical liberal stunt of making up your own definition. Under your way of thinking ALL government is socialism. And all society is socialism. That is total non-sense. You simply are uneducated as to the definition of socialism and I d have neither the time nor the patience to educate you on the matter.

Doing stuff for "some one" and them returning the favor is CAPITALISM!!! FREE TRADE......UNTIL the governement steps in and tells me I can't charge "X" amount for the "stuff" I do...then they are interferring with free trade.

I'd really like to give maxi lessons in political science, but I fear it would a lost cause.

He doesn't understand that his income is part of the GNP that makes his gov't what it is.

He doesn't see that nearly everything he does is dependant on something the gov't has done, ie: work, roads, taxes, businesses, his cars, his guns, his ability to talk like an idiot on line etc, etc, etc.

He is so self-centered he truly believes that the world revolves around him and therefore he is completely independant from everything around him.

But, as someone pointed out I don't think he is living in a cave, on a desert isle eating berries.

He is the type of person that should be forced to go live in a 3rd world country for a while, so he can learn to appreciate everything that he's got.

FYI, the US government makes more off a gallon of gas than Exxon. And the roads still suck.

OK Guys

What started as a simple poll about gun ownership has turned into a rather spiteful discussion, and unwarranted name calling. I don't know what it is about gun ownership that has sparked all this but I feel it's time to stop.
I guess I'm the only one here that thinks that owning a bunch of big bad guns is just like owning a big bad dog, or a big bad pick up truck, which to me is just y'alls way of compensating for a lack of real maturity, or a lack of real manhood. I don't know which, maybe it's both. Personally, I think if someone wants to collect a bunch of guns the they should be entitled to...as long as they are permenantly disabled and can never be fired again. You don't hear me calling everybody who does own guns any names, or insult their intellegence.
Let's stop it now, or the whole damn thing can be removed.
