why not jest use 4000 wet n dry sand papper them rubbing compound and a buffer

sandpaper is different from the micro-mesh in that sandpaper is pretty much exactly that... grain on paper... Micro-mesh is on a fabric that allows a little more give and doesn't leave quite as much of a scratch, the grit is set up in a more uniform fashion. Another advantage to the micro-mesh is that it is longer lasting than sandpaper... even the wet dry stuff... It comes in finer grains than I have seen available in sandpaper, allowing for a finer mirror finish...

You asked how we get blue off pipes... that's how I do it... If you find a better way... please share... anything that will save some time and elbow grease is good for me...
