      Ohhhhhh shiiiiiiny!

      Looks GOOD!

Great... had other things to do today... but will probably end up polishing bike parts instead... thanks Pete!

I haven't used any polish yet... just the micro-mesh at this point... I don't usually use polish until I get most of the oxidation/ pitting knocked down...

Hey... did your stator cover have blacked out lettering originally? or did you take out the black and polish it? Looks good, at any rate...

I was checking out your other thread and noticed a few differences between your 81 and mine (mainly... my engine wasn't black...) I'll have to check it out a bit more thoroughly later today...

lol Dont u just hate that.

the whole motor was originally black,
had to use paint stripper to get it all off,
as a result the black paint in the 'yamaha'
came off with it, i will get around to blackening it again.

ive been using maguires alloy polish, bit exspensive
but polishes up real nice, and gives it a nice protective
        coating.

                        Here you go...

                        Micro-mesh link
Necessary statement of the obvious: Since this is like a very fine sandpaper... you aren't going to want to be too harsh with it...
You think the blue in your pipes is bad now... wait until you wear a hole through your headers...

You need that like another hole in the... well... head (ers)...

As I understand it Blue is runing "rich" Gold Is running "lean"
                              FYI

Blue AND gold colouring in steel is from tempering the steel, this is done by heating it.

Normally motorcycle engines running hot enough to temper their headers are running Ok (single skin) to weak, if you're colouring double skin headers you're running weak.
