I ain't that erudite, I had to look it up.
Sorry Wildkat, any personality your bikes seem to have is only in your mind. A reflection of personality traits you may have, or wish you had, or even regret that you have. Like a mirror. You think it adds ten years to your age and twenty pounds to your weight because it hates you? No, it's just a sheet of glass with a silver backing.

Humanization... personification... whatever you want to call it...
You are much too literal on this one, Fred...
Fine by me if your machine is cold (when not running)... heartless... You can view your bike anyway you wish... your right... I neither care to change it nor will I try...
This thread was started in fun... I happen to recognize the different attributes of my bikes... How I choose to view their differences is completely up to me... being of a creative mind... I like to think that in their own way... they do have personalities... This is my right... However, I fully understand that they are machines...
So fine... if you don't agree with me on this one... You don't have to post in this thread any longer...

If I can make at least one person smile, or pee their pants a little, or maybe spit out their drink; then my day is not wasted.
Hi Wildkat,
so long as we are aware of the difference between perception and reality.
My particular soulless machine has the attributes of an elderly working girl who has had too many years working the rough trade. Under my tender care she's freshly painted up and still willing to party.

I refer to the Battle Cruiser as He, but I think it's really female. It gets lots of attention when gussied up, demands lots of attention, gets me excited to ride...
I think it's a nod to my old Cold War Soviet Naval opposition who always refered to a naval vessel as a He.
