      Hi Brian,
I am with Dalton Timmis too. Intact Insurance
$1083 per bike. Biggest $ are liability@ 1million and accident benefits which have just been limited again by our government so pay more and get less.
bike is not covered in the event of accident. No restrictions.
XS qualifies as Vintage for about 1/2 the premium but at 2000Km and only to rallies too restrictive for me plus you have to have it appraised and keep it nearly stock.

Ask around insurance companies as your area of residence should be a little less than mine.

Age + years licenced + infractions ofcourse influence the premium.
6 years accident and conviction free plus driver training seems to be the max discount you can get. Loyalty discount usually maxes out at about 6%

          Insurance

I have fire, theft, comp and collision on all mine. Costs about $800 a year per bike. No appraisal was required because you can only recover the blue book value. I went through McDougall and I believe the carrier is Travellers. Cheapest I could find.

Since I haven't had insurance for a while, its going to cost me even more, I can't get vintage. I could get cheaper, but with liability only.

$1200 - but no restrictions, and covered for value of bike, purchase value for now, but more if I produce an appraisal, and its my car / house insurer, someone who I know is fair when there is a claim.

Oh well, I'll be riding and will soon forget about it!

                  Big smoke

Phil, Hammy: yes I remember what it was like there. I lived off keele and wilson for four years hated it. Friggin cab drivers driving around on bald tires and no one could speak English much less read it. My heart was in my throat every day I rode there.

I used to ride my 350-F in Toronto to school, and I remember how you REALLY have to be on you toes, but that was back in the '80's, can't imagine doing it now.

However, it was a great way to get around in all that congestion

Yes you are right.....us Canucks get screwed royally. It`s known as : extracting the maximum amount before a "rebellion" occurs. Go figure: the last time I checked , a Camaro ....built 3 blocks from the plant in Oshawa, Canada cost
$5K more than then the same car ( also built in Oshawa ) in Hawaii.
If we had some "backbone" like our American friends.....I`m sure that it wouldn`t happen.
PS: This pricing was when the CDN dollar was worth $1.05 American !
