New York State Meet and Greet?

I've been noticing that there are now a decent number of XSives here in Western/Central New York State. I was thinking that a local meet and greet might be in order, perhaps around Syracuse or Cortland, or even Utica to include the Eastern part of the state. Comments? Thoughts? Ideas?

        Ok. so far....

AM thinking of meeting in Syracuse, mid-September, then maybe a ride to Utica or Albany so the Eastern guys can join up. Mid-September may or may not be the best time for people. I could use some feedback on the issue. I know in my case, I only have every other weekend that I can do something like this. That's when the kiddies are at their respective parents' homes. SOOO...that's where I'm starting.

        Input? Ideas?

        Prospective dates:

        Weekend of Sept 1st
        Weekend of Sept 15th
        Weekend of Sept 29th

I'll post a poll if it's easier for everyone.

How about a meet up in Lake George? I was there last week and it's gorgeous there. Could set up a New England ride to meet up with the NY folks.

Albany, Lake George, NH, same difference, point is to get together. A poll might get this done. Sept 1 is too close, me thinks. Labor Day plans are probably already set for most folks. Sept 15th or 29th works for me.

Late September would be excellent as the trees should be beginning to change in the Adirondacks by then.

That meet-up was quite far for us New Englanders (though I don't assume to speak for everyone). Besides, what's wrong with another meetup in early fall?

Potentially, but recommend after Labor Day if you head to Lake George as hotel rates drop dramatically. I live in the Syracuse area and would love to meet up with some of the XSives I've been chatting with and getting help from.

Unfortunately, my schedule has me booked thru September...

Make some plans and I'll jump in where I can, even if it's as some pass through the area...

I think there's a number of people in central ny/ syracuse/ finger lakes area. No need to head way east, although that would be fun too.

I believe Syracuse would be optimal for all of us around NYS. It's pretty centralized and there's a lot of directions to go from there. 1,000 Islands is only a couple hours north. Utica is an hour east, Cooperstown isn't far, just a couple of hours' ride. How about we go with the weekend of the 29th?

No Harm intended. Just noting that the number of xs11s' in & around central hasn't changed that much. It sounds like a hoot! I love to see everybody & discuss our sport. Looking forward to going. Its only 5 miles. If you need any info about the area, please feel free to ask.
