    So, Tod...

    this is Dave's fault?
(And makes a liar out of me.. lol)
Ohhhhhh.... the things I could say... and normally would... but I must be having a "nice" attack... don't get accustomed to it...

Well Spiderman... since you pulled out... so did the rain... at least according to today's forcast... I'm sure by Saturday it will be changing again... Originally it was supposed to rain all weekend... but it looks like clear skies...
Sorry you won't be able to make this one... We'll figure out something when you actually do have some time...

Dave... sure hope you two can make it!

      The Mouchyn's will attend

If the rain holds out. 5 hours in a driving rain, the whole way home sucked!

We will be leaving about 9:00 am.

      See everyone there!

Oh s%!t, I gotta go wash and polish Packmule...

Why??? I threw another engine together and dropped it into the bike... and headed this way with greasy fingerprints all over. Maybe because you don't want yours to look like mine??

I just unloaded a 53' foot trailer full of pallet racking and another one is on its way. Now I have an adult size erector set sitting on my dock. I would have much rather rode in the rain!!!! Yall have fun and play nice. I gotta go now, just heard a set of air brakes go off in the yard, my other 53 must be here.

Good news is closing on new house has been pushed back to end of October so my attendance to the TeXSive rally in Oka (there just ain't sumthin right with that ) is back on the front burner now. I need to renegotiate my contact and get paid by the square foot.

I hereby authorize John, Skippy and trbig to use my share of roudy behavior tonight, do me proud guys.

            Well...

This weekend didn't go quite as planned.... OK... went NOTHING as planned.. lol.

I threw a motor together and into the bike and took off for John and Kat's, thinking I just needed to synch the carbs when I got there. The more we messed with the carbs, the worse things got. It seems to me that I have many more problems than carbs. We never could get it right and I ended up riding home on mainly just 2 cylinders. If I ever got into it and got the revs above 6500 or so, then all the cylinders would catch. It's making me thing that I don't have much compression in the motor on those two cylinders. I will check it out tomorrow better. I averaged 16 mpg on the way home for @ 200 miles...worst I have ever got. It popped and sputtered and backfired so bad sometimes that it blew all the rubber caps off the carb holder nipples on the way home... lol. It didn't seem to run any worse though?? lol.

Enjoyed spending time with my other family but glad to be home. Besides a tire blow out, this bike has never left me stranded. Knocking motors, spun crank bearings... always got home.

              man, tell me about it.........

we both apparently had a really mucked up weekend.... (censors beware) the band didn't show for rehearsal at noon friday.... pushed back to 5 pm..... hmmmm they didnt show then either.

noon saturday...... no band ( I went to my keyboard player's house and worked out a few problems I was having with a particular song) ..... everyone pushed back to 5 pm sound check...... at 5 there was me, and the vocalist..... 6- 6:30 ..... finally a couple guys showed ...... at around 9:30 the last guy finally shows up......

show starts at 10...... one set played..... then we went back on at 11..... my set.... it ran until 1:30 turned out good but John would have been really pizzed... he had to go to work early the next morning..... good thing ya'll decided to just hang out and visit..... Wish I knew then what I know now..... I could have bought a bike trailer and just brought mine up and rode instead of worrying with all the no-showing $%@#&$, ya know what I mean...... I still had a good show, but I wont be worrying about relying on those guys again..... my band is the one who will be playing everything from now on, no matter who the singer is and what he wants. As time goes by I will make sure to get some sound files from the show on here....... when they get approved by the primadonna.......

Everyone was there in spirit and I tried to play loud enough for ya'll to hear me.... even those from the south who couldn't make it up here this weekend.

Without you guys I would have felt lost.

Thank you all for your support.

                Hello Fellow TeXSives

SWMBO and I are in Maryland. Her father was sick and took a bad turn, so we flew up here Sunday morning.

He passed away tonight at 7:12 pm EDT. He was 61.

Thanks to all the well wishers, and we are sorry that we missed the gathering this weekend.

Look forward to seeing everyone on October.

Yeah... the weekend was a bit of a bust (and not the boops kind, either) but everything works out for a reason... I just keep telling myself that...

It was nice to get a chance to meet bigjames79... James... it doesn't normally work out like this one... We'll get 'em next time...

Mark... sounds like things went okay for you Saturday... Sorry we couldn't make it... As you stated... we wouldn't have been able to stay until you played... Gotta get the kid to bed early on work nights...
