1955 Buick need help... anyone

I am currently working on a 55 Buick special. I feel like an idiot but i can't seem to locate a master cylinder for the brakes.

If anyone knows where it is it would be a huge help to me.

Have you looked under the floorboard on the drivers' side?

No, but I will. I kind of thought it might be there but havn't been able to get it into the garage yet today.

I feel really stupid for not knowing this. I got the car running over the course of the last week, and now I can't find the m.c. GRRRRRR!!!

Don't know what years are compatible, there is a 1953 Buick 50 - 70 master cylinder on sale through eBay. Link doesn't cut and paste well, do a search on "Buick master cylinder" and you should find that listing.

Thanks I found it. It was under the drivers side. Thankfully the plug is still intact and theres no rust there... or anywhere really.

Now that I re-read the original post, I feel dumb. You asked where to find 'a' master cyl ....... not 'the' mast cyl.

I once had a 54 and a 55, both specials. 54 with manual trans, 55 with dynaflow. Specials had the 264 C U engine. Very economical for it's day. Love the looks of the straight up and down valve covers.

Shes got the Dynaflow matched up to a 322 fireball V-8. apparently they were 200 hp stock.
