    investing for the future

    Hi Midnight,
an elderly arab brings home a 9 year old girl from the slave market. His friend says,
"Abdul, you are 75 years old, you should be ashamed of yourself, having sex with a 9 year old."
"Hassan, I am not a child molester, I am surprised that you think so, I will be saving her for my old age."
Same deal with the Midnight Special.

        Sweet!

Looks like it just came out of the crate!!
As for the low mileage.........These weren't intended as daily riders when Yamaha came out with them. Had I bought one new in '80, I believe it would have more than 30 miles on 'er though! Not EVEN going to LOOK on e-bay!! $$$$$$$$$ !

I got a Classic Bike Mag yesterday. A guy scored a '73 BSA Rocket 3, 8/10 showing on the speedo. Never had had a battery in it, never had oil in it. To leave that and a MNS not ridden? Get a rope!!!!

Wow, 2 nearly new midnights in less than a week.

6 grand is a little steep, sure was a beauty though. I guess if you have the money, a finer example could not be found. Hell, it's still cheaper then buying a new bike. But then, it is a new bike!

Yep, I bet they do too..

That was what I was thinking too. But I read through the description and it said the carbs and tires were the only parts not OEM, and that they were either rebuilt by the shop mech or replaced with another set. can't remember

This guy has to be a psycho, just look at his grubby, dirty toenails up on the handlebar in the first pic. That or he scammed somebody out of $6k by changing the speedo.

If your gonna have it, ride it. To me, unless it's in a museum, It's worthless if you don't ride it. You can have a barn full of ponies but you can only ride one at a time. As you all know, If you don't ride em, seals go bad and so on. The guy who bought this has got some work ahead of him if he plans on riding this. Can't say it's never had a battery, fuel or oil. If it never had any of that stuff, the factory didn't do it's job with putting in break in oil and initial fuel. You'd also think that the factory would add at least a battery to a brand new machine. Unless that was supposed to be a dealer prep thing.
I would much rather spend my denero on a bike that's been road hard and lovinglly restored @ 100,000 miles. Original tach reading 0 miles. What a cool thought. Sounds like something I need to shoot for.
