    Alternative badge methodology.

    Prometheus sez:-

    I would have taken those magnetic "alphabet letters" sticking to the refrigerator, pressed them into a clay mold, and then filled the mold with fiberglass resin.

    you seem to have missed TC's motivation in machining the badges from aluminum:-

    " My old badges were very worn from my extra long legs hitting against them on the tank. "

    My proposed alternative stayed with the aluminum material while your excellent thought would have built a superb badge that alas, would have worn away just like the stockers.

    Here's another thought for TC:-
    take a patch of aluminum diamond plate and cut the lettering through it like a paint stencil. "GODZILLA" will show through in the tank paint colour and the badges will match the luggage.
