Well, I read through this and I'll agree that Prometheus is mostly correct, at least if you dig down to instinct levels. Fortunately, most of us intelligent beings rise above the level of instinct.

I am fresh from divorce myself. It has been a very bitter fight. I married the wrong person and I stayed married for the wrong reasons. It was a costly mistake. I know why I am divorced and I'm glad to be out of that relationship.

I am not bitter towards womankind even though it's tempting. If I choose to be bitter, the only one hurt by it is me. I'm going to move on and land on my feet as soon as possible. At least, I'll come out of this having learned something.

    Interesting topic.

      Hi Kurt,

I like to pop in every now and then to see how the XS11 crowd is doing. It's been a while...

I remember reading about your dismay at being stereotyped as a motorcycle dealership mechanic who took everyone to the cleaners at every opportunity. At one point you left the board in total disgust. It was an unfair and unjustified stereotype and I remember feeling bad when I read about your situation.

Imagine how I felt when I ran across this post. Even the wife beating jokes didn't bother me this much.

      We're not all bad. Honest.

        Meri,
Don't worry, Wildkat will keep Kurt from getting too close to reality. I think a lot of the people on this board have been there, and for the most part, we've been able to see what needed to change. Sometimes, like me, the wedding should have NEVER happened. But I did stick it out (2 kids) and now that the ex and I live in different homes, we can talk when needed. I know I'M MUCH happier, and my longtime friend noticed the difference.
        Just my feelings.

But I did stick it out (2 kids)
Have you forgotten your basic Biology, Ray?
Didn't the Sex Ed teacher tell you what could happen it you stick that thing out.

            We're not all bad. Honest.

            Neither are all men.

Just need a way to identify who's who....
Have heard from friends/acquaintances how either the man or women changed after they got married and never would have married him/her had they known what was to come.

Don't think they changed but reverted to how they really are.

Single women should have a tattoo (1 to 10) on there forhead to let us know.

And like the number of "kills" painted on a fighter jet, how many guys they have already done in.

Don't need it for the guys,
cards are stacked against them in our society as it is

Yes PROM, I remember my biology. but you do feel these basic "urges", and sometimes they do get the better of you.
