Nice day here too for Christmas day. No chance for getting out on two wheels, but my neighbour got out for a bit of fun:

For all of you who need bad weather to work on your bikes you're invited to my place, snow, cold and today we have rain/fog.
I was lucky enough to get in a short ride 2 weeks ago, it was 35 and sunny.

well its nice that you feel sorry for us, up here in the northern states, but we adapt.
i just put the bike in the back of the garage,
and switch places with what lives in the back of the garage during the nice months.

the item i talk about, is one of the more powerful of its kind,
it does have 2 wheels, but not a motorcycle.
it has a mind bogeling 8 horse power, all wheel drive,
and a 24 inch swatch of cut, ask the northern people what that means,
they already know what i'm talking about

it will do the standing start quarter mile in about 15 to 20 minutes
with good going, with hard going it will do the 1/4 mile in about a half hour
          hope the picture comes out

if I had that much snow, I would make a tunnel out the front door to get the mail. here we got some of that white stuff. Most of it that was outside my garage door turned yellow by the time it was gone. (the house is just too far away) It was gone in one day and now we are left with just rain. We need the rain, but when it only snows for one day in TX, you are left with a bunch of dirty crap and a LOT of sand. Aparently Texan's don't know how to drive on Ice. It was sure funny to watch on the TV. Next time around maby we will get some real snow. Actually i would prefer 60deg sunnny weather but who knows.

Forgot to mention that the largest snow blower I have seen would sure "blow" your's away. Been to anchorage lately? They have this steam train engine with a Giant snow blower wheel built on to the front. Its pretty big. I bet it could do a mile of track in a few min. I would have sure liked to see it in its day in operation. I guess its a love for antique machinery.

only snows for one day in TX,

Was in El Paso, think it was 1981.
Didn't just snow, wind was blowing like 65 mph and everything froze (must a been "global warming")

When it didn't stop after about a foot, got out on the hyway and followed a big rig outa there Shortened my stay in Texas.

I have been riding to work lately, about an hour each way, and it has been fairly cold around here. Mid 30's in the AM, low 40's in the afternoon. It is not too bad with the insulated coveralls, leather jacket and chaps, hippohands, scarf. and full face helmet!
I need the winter. Otherwise I would never get ANYTHING done on the bike.
Hey 81xsproject...It won't snow here so I STILL can't get anything done!!

                              I LOVE SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!! huh?

I live in the city, so people here are generaly good at complaining anyway. But all the talk I've heard in the past few days about moving to Florida has just made me laugh. Sure I've complained about not being able to ride, but I also understand that I live in the mountains and it snows here. Sometimes it snows a-lot, and this is one of those times.

I like the subaru pic. I have a similar one. This was about halfway through the first round of storms. Only got three feet of snow that time.
