  • Meeting of the XSive Minds

Okay... so more thought has gone into this... We (John and I)would like this to be something that a lot of people can attend and since the weather can still be moderately unpredictable in March... we thought giving options for the time of the get together would be a good idea.

This will be a great chance to sell any bike related products you may have... or just get a chance to check out different modifications others have on their bikes... or just hang out with a bunch of like minded people and have a good time.

We have very understanding neighbors who will probably be more inclined to join us than complain...

      Oops... yeah... sorry about that

We're in Texas... halfway between Dallas and Fort Worth... Great vacation spot if you need to convince any family members that this is a good thing for everyone...

I had to go with the bottom one. Usually I take the Momorial weekend mixed with the The Momorial week and the following weekend. That's nine day's off and cost me only 4 day's of vacation. Of coarse this is only me. My schedual can be flexeble, but Unsure this far out.
Wildkat.... Your not around the Boyd area are you ??? My aunt, uncle, and grand folks lived there for many years.....

          These are just tentative dates...

If Memorial day weekend or any other time is better... that's cool too... We'd like to have as many as possible join in on this... I know travel can be a bit difficult, which is why we are opening our home to anyone who needs a place to stay.

I'd like to get the dates set so that I can start getting hotel/ motel prices for anyone who needs them... but we still have plenty of time.

Would you believe that there are actually 2 Boyds? Both are relatively close (in Texas terms). The farthest one from us is a little over 100 miles...

Sounds like fun. And, since I always end up mixing business with pleasure (no matter how hard I try not to), I am sure I can find a reason to head up Dallas way.

            Keep us posted.

                TeXSive Lite Rally 07

We might want to keep in mind the TeXSive Rally 07. It usually takes place somewhere in the first two weeks of April.

Wayne can chime in here and help with the scheduling.

Thanks! I forgot about that one...

Definitely don't want to interfere with that ('cause I want us to attend that one too)...
                  Thanks for the heads up...

If you are at all familiar with DFW airport, we are not too far from there. Well, in Texas terms anyway. If I don't end up doing anything for that break, I am off from 10th- 18th. I will know in a few weeks if I will be here for that break. I am sure that a few people will be able to crash at my house(providing that my siblings are away at college) I know my Dad would be thrilled to have something like this soo close to home. He loved the Talimena rally. I will also keep you posted on my availability as I find out.

I'm easy, or at least negotiable. Maybe the clinic could install a new clutch for me Big bore kit?

I don't think anything's been planned yet...Wayne can chime in if I'm incorrect...(I'm remembering he was getting surgery about now?)

Count me in. My Scoot will be roadtrip ready within couple of weeks. By March it should be all broken in and purring. It also would give me a good reason to visit my sister in Arlington.

That Boyd is about 30 miles NW from us, and easy to get to from here.
