mines not as pretty but still there and very patriotic. do i get points for patriotism?
Of course everybody from Missouri get's bonus points.........just the fact that we are surviving in the meth capital of the world oughta be worth something don't you think. Nice XS.
Its a 1980 with a 79 Carmine red tank, I painted side covers myself including the side cover emblems. The pipe is a Jardine, it was worth every minute of the 2 years it took to complete(maybe not to the ex!). It has a 79 motor as well, pulls nice and strong.
1980 XS1100 100.00 bike frame up, before pics included
Great restoration on another Special. The red paint is also nice and it's a refreshing change to see one that's not black. I can't tell from the picture what brand of pipe you have but it looks good on the Special. If you are like me, a Special is always a work in progress as it seems one is forever finding more tricks and improvements for the old boy. Things are different on an XS.
Ok, I'll take this chance to post some pictures of my completed ride on the same page as Dans beautiful bike..
I've been putting my bike together for about 3 and a half years now, some highlights are the wheels, the fuel injection, the modern forks, the brakes and the complete nut and bolt rebuild of every part. The bike weighs a ton as everything on it is now in stainless steel but once it's rolling the weight just vanishes.

This has to be one of the all time great Elevens, it's simply the Max and thanks' for sharing it, great job on a show stopper. After seeing yours, I guess I'll have to get that Mothers polish out and do some more rubbing on ole Attila.
Wow.. Really good looking Specials. I am in the market for a Special and MNS to complete my stable. Meanwhile, here is a shot of my 78E Standard I am just about finished with. I just luv posting pic's!!
