    Cody,
I've got to be back on Aug. 4. I have a dinner to attend, with wine and abalone. I think I may end up on an "Iron Butt" ride just trying to make all the stops. I know it may be hard at times, but it will be worth the trouble!!
I'll see you in about 11 or 12 days.

Are you going to make it through the midwest (South Dakota) so Steve C and I can meet up with you? Like I said I have a bed for you to use and garage if you need an oil change.

          Here's the trike:

Homeowners insurance gave us enough to repair the fence.
The wrecked Suburban is in the backyard (in the way). I was thinking of replacing the punctured fuel tank, cut-off the rear bumper, and taking it to the mountains and play "Dukes of Hazzard" with it. Are there destruction derbies for 4x4's?

Interesting all right. So, just how does the steering feel with those two wheels up front doing the job. I'm guessing there's no way you could get the push steer thing happening with that configuration. And those disk brakes up front. Does it tend to go up onto its nose with a good hard brake application?

They will do stoppies and if the pedals are in the right (wrong?) position the front digs in and you go flying.
Another phenomenon is if your feet drop off the pedals and get sucked under a wheel....wheeeee!!!
They can tip with good traction on a fast corner. If the road's slick fast corner can be fun, powersliding.
Top speed is faster than a regular bike, even racebikes. That's why they are outlawed from races like the Tour de France. All Human Powered Vehicle speed records are held by recumbents.
They are very safe in traffic for the mere fact that they look strange so everyone notices them and gives a wide berth.
You can also add fairings from a small bubble up front to fully enclosed. There are some that are fully suspended and are a blast for downhill mt biking.

                DEW,
I plan on taking 90 west to Washington State. PM a phone # if you would like. I've got the contact info for Steve, and do plan on stopping. I may spend a few hours in Wisconson, as my niece and her husband live there. That may change, but it will all depend on time.

                  Funny thing is....

A girl I went to highschool with (and had a major cursh on!) set a world record on a recumbant: 66.585 MPH!!!

                    I have two questions:

Who the heck is Abby Lone and does your wife know about her?

                        John, and all,
NO I'M STILL trying to get daily ride together!! MURPHY has it in for me!!
I've had some major and minor setbacks, but hope to leave Wednesday morning. I'm going to have to cut some of my trip short, but plan on trying to see most of the people I've been in contact with. I'm down to the final assembly, but I'll be riding with the old tank and side covers. I'll send an email as I leave, and I'll be probably be doing an iron butt or two.
