its a slipstreamer spitfire. it works well, actually. its about 18" above the headlight, about 16" wide. i have low-ish daytona bars on the old girl, so it does fine cruising up to about 85 or so. blustery days do have an impact, tho.

        Wow!

That is amazing. I just returned from a week in Zihuatanejo, and Huatulco is on my list of places I seriously want to visit. But to do it on your bike? I noticed you have pics in veracruz which is on the opposite coast from Huatulco, also you mentioned Mayan ruins which are prodominate in Yucatan Penn and South and Eastern Mexico. Did you travel the entire country. What was your route? This is incredible.

first of all, i live in tx. the route for this past march started as i crossed in brownsville and followed the gulf coast down thru veracruz. i then turned sw towards oaxaca, crossed 2 major mountain ranges to arrive on the pacific coast near puerto angel and huatulco. i basically took the same route back up, except i went around the mountains-time was a factor. the previous 2 times i went thru mexico on the bike i crossed at laredo and traveled the central plains and west coast a bit more. laredo has turned quite violent in recent years, so i decided(wisely) to cross somewhere else. i've been to the ruins of xochicalco, mitlan, teotihuacan, and others. what a country. i tried to document the journey from the road, i'll see if i can find the link. mark
