  • My Father

My Father passed away early this morning. He was a good man. I am very grateful that I got to spend the last couple days with him and had a chance to say goodbye. He will be greatly missed.

It is so strange how I feel right now, almost like I am hollow inside. Perhaps a part of me has also passed away early this morning.

    Ray,

I am very very sorry to hear that. I know the hollowness of which you speak, as mine passed in 97. No words can fill it. Only time can make it feel smaller. Nothing makes it feel better very quickly. You will find that even more than ever before you want to call him up and ask him something.

Glad you took some of that precious time to come to the rally, was great to meet you.

My deepest sympathy and heart felt prayers for you and your family.

Deepest sympathies and prayers for you and yours.

You are suddenly missing a major part of your life and you will feel overwhelmed, but it will pass. Remember the good times you spent with a good man. He helped get you where you are today.

Again, Sally and I are sorry for your loss.

I'll add my condolences as well. My father passed way in december of 2010, still feels odd to me not to have him around. My father-in-law passed away this past February, so now my wife is going though the same feelings.

                        Keep the memories.

Mine passed 12 years ago in 2000, and to this day, I'll do or see something and think, "Man, I need to call dad and tell him about this!" Then it hits. My condolences to you as well.

                            Condolences

Sorry for your loss. Having lost both my parents (Dad in 94 and Mom in 01), I know the pain that you're feeling. Although that sense of loss will never go away, its sting will lessen over time.

                            God Bless!
