Anyone besides me having trouble sometimes getting on this site or even when switching threads having the browser time out and saying not found, I troubleshoot from my end and got a no contact from DNL server, I've logged onto several other forums regularly with no issues.

Getting really annoying having so much trouble with the ability to use the server as it constantly times out, is it only me, or is it still having issues with everyone. Didn't know if i should check with my ISP, but I don't have any issues anywhere else. Running a pretty new built puter with Win 7.
Here's what I see more than the forum--->

Ok guys. This is a problem that has been going on for quite some time. It's because the DNS servers at the host where the site is hosted are pretty much either way overloaded or something. The answer is pretty easy, you need to adjust your hosts file and put the IP address of the server in there and the problem will magically go away. I've added a picture below that shows where the hosts file is, and what the line for the site needs to be. You will most likely need to change the file permissions on the hosts file to give users rights to edit the file before you change it.

Hey Skool,
Cy knows his internet stuff for sure. A little experiment you can do to see if there are any links that are really slowing your access down is to run a Tracert to the site.
Open a dos box, they type the following command, it will output the results to a text file.
tracert www.xs11.com >trace.txt
and hit return...btw there are spaces after tracert and before the >trace.txt.
Give it a little time, usually 30 to 60 seconds, and then you'll see the prompt show again blinking, then find the "trace.txt" file, and review it. It will look something like this:
Tracing route to www.xs11.com [64.119.182.118]
over a maximum of 30 hops:
1 1 ms 2 ms <1 ms Wireless_Broadband_Router.home [192.168.1.1]
