They're called spaghetti pipes (probably because of the way they cross over one another like noodles)... skettis is just a shortened version.

I don't know. I guess it depends on where you're from and what slang you've been introduced to...

I've often heard spaghetti referred to as "sketti".

The spelling was not familiar to me, but once I saw what they were talking about I understood the reference just fine. And the reference made sense to me after that as well.

            Ceramic coating

I had the spagetti headers ceramic coated on the 80 Standard I just finished and they came out great.

I have an old set that are in pretty rough shape that I may be interested in selling. I'll drag em out and take some photos.

I am guessing you have not raised a 2-3 yr old yet in your life.

sketti is "standard slang" for Spaghetti at that age. Along with the thing you sleep on at night being a "peeow", and eating at "bobebens" (that would be Bob Evans.).

Ras, that is a very nice score!!

This is what they look like now.

While they are far from perfect they are a very good set of pipes now. If you look, you can still see the rust pitting in places. I had thought the ceramic coating was going to hide that but apparently it is pretty thinly applied. Most of the spots will not be seen once mounted so i am ok with that. So a 100 bucks on evilbay and 200 to coat them and I have a set of Sketti's. Some mat disagree but i am very happy with the outcome.

                            Lookin' Good

Hey Ras, You've mentioned some rust pitting.
Did you or the place you had the coating done media blast the pipes and if so what media was used ?

Also, does anyone know if there is a difference in engine performance, using the Sketti's, on account of the 1&4 - 2&3 scavenging combos ?
